I am thinking of grafting a cutting from a Malus Profusion to a Malus Floribunda so as to incorporate purple into a broom style tree. Provided it is done at the right time of the year, what is the likelihood that it will take given they are both Crab apples as I have not had any grafting experience.

I have personally not done grafting of this nature and not in bonsai any way. Would look funny with green and purple leaves on one tree. Good luck.
